Do you need parenting support?

Parenting can be difficult, especially during stressful times at work or turbulence in relationships.  I can help you learn ways to keep your cool, honor your parenting style, discover ways to bond with your kids, set boundaries and practice self-care.

I was trained and certified as a Parent-Child Interaction therapy (PCIT) and studied with a Master Trainer through UC Davis. PCIT is a directive and evidence-based model that provides guidance for behavioral problems in children. I use concepts from this modality to help struggling parents problem-solve and shift behaviors. I integrate stress reduction, time management, communication skills and coping tools. (I no longer offer traditional PCIT therapy with parent and child. I work with adults familiar with the model or are interested in learning parenting skills.)

I taught co-parenting classes, providing tools for separated or divorced parents. Topics include explaining divorce to your child, how to keep your children out of the middle and ways to parent and communicate even if you're in a high-conflict break up.

“There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots, the other, wings.”
